Pregnancy - 15 weeks

How far along?  15 weeks

How big is baby?  The size of a doughnut!

Total weight gain/loss? 61.1 kg so weirdly a 0.2 kg loss since last week.  I'm also pretty constipated at the moment so that will be contributing to the weight gain.

Waist?  What do you think?

Stretchmarks?  None that I've noticed but a few prominent veins.

Maternity clothes?  Not yet but after all the Christmas food I would definitely appreciate some stretchy trousers.

Sleep?  Sleep has been reasonable considering it's been Christmas and Oscar has been quite overwhelmed.

Best moment this week?  Christmas - I cooked a banging dinner, if I do say so myself!

Movement?  I'm still wondering if I'm feeling little prods but nothing I can really confirm yet.

Food cravings?  Still all about the cheese, mac and cheese out of a box.  Also crisp sandwiches with cold, salted butter.

Food aversions? Nothing really although I'm still not really interested in my cereal.

Gender?  Boy, surely.

Labour signs?  Nope.

Pregnancy symptoms?  My boobs are still sore - my nipples feel like bullets at the moment - and I'm starting to get a bit achey around my back and hips especially at night so have ordered a pregnancy pillow.

Belly button in or out?  In.

What I miss?  Caffeine.  I don't recall ever really, heavily craving caffeine during my first pregnancy but with Oscar being very overwhelmed with the festive season it has been a really, really long week and I'd have killed for a can of Monster Ultra (the white one).

What I am looking forward to?  Going to my dad's for the weekend tomorrow and getting back to some sort of normal routine next week.  I did a day back at work today and it was a lifesaver.

Upcoming appointments/scans? Gender scan on 8 January then Consultant on 10 January, midwife on 12 January and 20 week scan on 2 Feb.

Weekly wisdom?  You will forget you are pregnant second time around.  I have moments every few days where I just "remember".  I certainly haven't had time to think about it constantly.  I did for the first few weeks but certainly for the last month or so it's just been a thing that's there in the background as we have been so busy with Oscar, the house and Christmas.  Also, it may be NYE but you definitely don't have to stay up until midnight!

Milestones?  First time I've been pregnant over Christmas - and presumably the last unless I gestate like an elephant.

Pregnancy - 14 weeks

 How far along?  14 weeks

How big is baby?  The size of a moon cake - clearly my app is American!

Total weight gain/loss? I was 61.3 kg which is another 0.6 kg gain this week and I'm now 0.5 kg over my pre-pregnancy weight.  Hardly surprising given that it's Christmas Eve and I've been eating anything and everything for the last fortnight - it's only going to get worse next week!

Waist?  One day...

Stretchmarks?  None that I've noticed.

Maternity clothes?  Not just yet although I definitely feel like I'll need some this time whereas I mostly got away without last time.

Sleep?  Sleep is generally up and down, mostly down to Oscar's sleeping patterns rather than anything specifically affecting me.

Best moment this week?  Finishing work and getting home for Christmas!

Movement?  Nothing  yet although I have wondered if I've felt a couple of little pops when I've been lying in bed at night.

Food cravings?  Cheeeeese - specifically mac and cheese but I'll take what I can get.

Food aversions? Nothing really.

Gender?  Still assuming it's a boy, trying not to give myself the hope of a girl - I know we will absolutely adore it regardless.

Labour signs?  Nope.

Pregnancy symptoms?  Achey boobs, weeing a lot and a little tailbone pain.

Belly button in or out?  In.

What I miss?  Having the time and energy to really enjoy my pregnancy - the first time I was measuring my waist every week, putting stretchmark cream on every night and documenting everything but this time I'm just too busy with Oscar.  I wouldn't have it any other way though.

What I am looking forward to?  Christmas!  I'm finally done at work and we've had a lovely evening getting ready for Santa.

Upcoming appointments/scans? Gender scan on 8 January then Consultant on 10 January, midwife on 12 January and 20 week scan on 2 Feb.

Weekly wisdom?  Rest, rest and more rest.

Milestones?  Nothing in particular I don't think.

Really starting to show now although less so in clothes!

Pregnancy - 13 weeks

How far along?  13 weeks

How big is baby?  The size of a brownie - very vague, depends who cut the piece of brownie!

Total weight gain/loss? I completely forgot to weigh myself this morning - I'll do it tomorrow and add it if I remember.

Waist?  I might just have to delete this section!

Stretchmarks?  None yet.

Maternity clothes?  Nope - my normal work trousers are still comfy, although a little more snug by the end of the day.

Sleep?  Sleep has been a bit better this week is aside from one rubbish night - Oscar and I are now sleeping on the sofa as he seems to only be settled there but I'm actually sleeping better there too so it's working okay for now.

Best moment this week?  Just generally seeing Oscar cuddling and kissing my stomach and asking if it is growing every day.

Movement?  Nothing yet but getting closer hopefully.

Food cravings?  Nothing in particular.

Food aversions? Nothing much now, I just generally start to feel nauseous if my stomach gets empty and then don't fancy anything.

Gender?  No idea although the assumption is that it's a boy - we have our gender scan booked for 8 January so only another three weeks to wait!

Labour signs?  Nope.

Pregnancy symptoms?  Achey boobs but nothing else really at the moment other than occasional nausea.

Belly button in or out?  In.

What I miss?  All of the excitement of choosing baby products and shopping for them when we had Oscar the first time.  Obviously this time we have pretty much everything, certainly in terms of the big stuff and I'm trying not to really buy anything, even little bits and bobs, at the moment due to cost and wanting to wait until we have moved house (or at least sold this one).

What I am looking forward to?  Christmas!  I'm really not feeling festive yet and genuinely can't get my head around the fact that it's only a week away but once we actually make it there I'm very excited about it.

Upcoming appointments/scans? Gender scan on 8 January then Consultant on 10 January, midwife on 12 January and 20 week scan on 2 Feb.

Weekly wisdom?  Absolutely no wisdom this week, my brain is much too fried!

Milestones?  Finishing the first trimester.

Pregnancy - 12 weeks

 How far along?  12 weeks

How big is baby?  The size of a cupcake.

Total weight gain/loss? I was 60 kg this morning so a little gain as expected.  Still under my starting weight but I anticipate I won't be for long, I haven't lost weight excessively this time as I didn't have muscle to lose.

Waist?  I really must get hold of my tape measure from Ant...

Stretchmarks?  None yet.

Maternity clothes?  Naope.

Sleep?  Sleep has not been great this week with Oscar having chickenpox.

Best moment this week?  Seeing our little pudding wriggling around on the scan and Oscar kissing all the pictures when I showed them to him.

Movement?  Nope but hopefully not too much longer to wait.

Food cravings?  Nothing really this week, just generally enjoying food a bit more.

Food aversions? Nothing really although I'm still not really into my Cheerios which I've been having for breakfast every day for well over a year.

Gender?  I'd be very surprised if it isn't a boy.  My stepbrother found out today that he is having a girl.  Ant's brother has offered to buy us a private gender scan for Christmas so hopefully in another four weeks or so we will know!

Labour signs?  Nope.

Pregnancy symptoms?  I still have super sore boobs and I'm peeing a lot but otherwise I don't feel much different to normal.  I'm getting some backache/sciatic pain but that's more likely to be down to sleeping in weird positions with Oscar.

Belly button in or out?  In.

What I miss?  Doing things... anything!  We've been pretty much stuck at home for a solid week with Oscar having chickenpox and I am going stir crazy.

What I am looking forward to?  Getting back into a routine from Monday hopefully!  Also, in the longer term, having a cheaper house and being able to make savings/have disposable income rather than living paycheck to paychck.

Upcoming appointments/scans? Hopefully we will have a private gender scan in the first week or so of January then Consultant on 10 January, midwife on 12 January and 20 week scan on 2 Feb.

Weekly wisdom?  Don't decide to move house just before Christmas whilst also pregnant and with an autistic 4 year old... my brain is doing some serious spinning at the moment.

Milestones?  Hitting that 12-week mark and feeling a little more safe.  Also, we announced it on social media today, although most people know already.

Pregnancy - 11 weeks

 How far along?  11 weeks

How big is baby?  The size of a macaron.

Total weight gain/loss? I've stayed at 59.5 kg again this week so everything has been pretty steady for a while now, my appetite has definitely increased and I've been eating more so I'm expecting to see an increase relatively soon.

Waist?  Still didn't measure - been a manic week!

Stretchmarks?  None yet.

Maternity clothes?  Nah.

Sleep?  Sleep has been up and down but not the worst week.

Best moment this week?  Starting to plan for our future and look at new houses.

Movement?  Nope but hopefully only another month or so.

Food cravings?  Still pretty much the same, along with fruity sweets.

Food aversions? Food in general some days and other days I'm fine.

Gender?  No idea and I'm trying to talk myself out of booking a private gender scan for January!  Oscar has now changed his mind and wants a brother, which I think he's more likely to get.

Labour signs?  Nope.

Pregnancy symptoms?  My boobs are still really tender and the nauseous has been up and down but most days it's quite easy to forget I'm pregnant.

Belly button in or out?  In.

What I miss?  Blissful ignorance.  We're getting further into the journey of moving house and realising that we certainly wont' be moving into our forever home any time soon.  However, we have faced so much together and spending our savings on the little munchkin in my stomach makes it totally worth waiting a little loner and working a little harder for our dreams.

What I am looking forward to?  Seeing little bub on a screen again this week!

Upcoming appointments/scans? Scan on Friday then Consultant on 10 January and midwife on 12 January.

Weekly wisdom?  Take your time.  There's been so much going on this week with tax issues, house stuff and now Oscar having chickenpox so it has been easy to forget I'm pregnant and overdo it but I've been trying to remind myself to regularly take breaks and let other people, like my dad and Ant, helps when they offer.

Milestones?  Having some energy back - I've managed to function pretty much as normal this week.
