Pregnancy - 8 weeks

 How far along?  8 weeks

How big is baby?  The size of a cola bottle - the sweet, it hasn't just had a huge growth spurt!

Total weight gain/loss? I'm 61 kg today which is 0.2 kg heavier than my starting weight and totally unsurprising as we've been on holiday for the last week and I've had Chinese, KFC, pizza and way too many snacks!

Waist?  I probably ought to start measuring at some point...

Stretchmarks?  Nothing yet and I've not actually used my tummy butter this week.  I will at some point but I guess second pregnancy syndrome has kicked in and I'm just being lazy!

Maternity clothes?  No need yet, hopefully for a while, although I am still wearing my leggings from my last pregnancy four years later!

Sleep?  Sleep  was actually much better on holiday with Oscar sleeping 8-5:30/6 most nights so I got quite a bit, making sure I was in bed by 10ish every night too.

Best moment this week?  Having a wonderful holiday with our friends and seeing Oscar so happy all week.

Movement?  Nothing yet, maybe about halfway to feeling something though!

Food cravings?  Carbs, carbs and more carbs.  Lots of comfort food like jacket potatoes and macaroni cheese... oh, who am I kidding?  I'm not craving anything other than just food!

Food aversions? Nothing much at all this week.  I've been eating more often on holiday and making sure to not let my stomach get empty and it has definitely made a difference.

Gender?  It's gotta be a boy, surely.

Labour signs?  Noooo.

Pregnancy symptoms?  Weirdly I still have very tender boobs which has been a symptom for almost four weeks now, I certainly don't remember it being there for so long last time.  It isn't an issue at all but it's noticeable when I touch them.  My exhaustion has been better for being on holiday, sleeping better and just generally getting out and about more in the fresh air.

Belly button in or out?  In.

What I miss?  Daylight!  Since the clocks went back I've noticed that my eyesight is terrible for doing anything at night such as jigsaws or colouring, I find the glare makes it hard to tell colours apart.  Plus the dark nights are just generally miserable.

What I am looking forward to?  Getting back to some routine on Monday.

Upcoming appointments/scans?  Nothing now until my midwife appointment on 23 November.

Weekly wisdom?  Whatever you expect to happen probably won't.  We've had a few incidents lately where we have planned something we expected Oscar to love and he's struggled with it/hated it and then we were super nervous about the holiday and he was amazing and so happy.

Milestones?  I don't think I've really met any milestones this week...?
